Summer Mission Trips

2016 Trips

UGANDA |  JUNA AMAGARA |  It is our mission to raise up vulnerable children in a loving environment and equip each of them with the tools they need to be confident, competent, Christ-centered leaders. By providing children with safe shelter, quality education, balanced nutrition, health education, faith training and vocational opportunity, we are launching a generation of Godly leaders who will be a force for positive change throughout Africa.  This may seem like a lofty goal but it already becoming reality.

Spent time with the children in the orphanage, as well as the local people in the surrounding area.  Also worked with the people in the Refugee Receiving Center.

HOLLY SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI |  Thru WORLD RENEW |  World Renew’s Disaster Response Services shows God’s love and brings hope to disaster-affected communities in North America by restoring the homes and lives of those who are most vulnerable.

FLINT, MICHIGAN |  PARTNER WITH FORGE FLINT |  PARTNER WITH FORGE FLINT | Forge Flint’s vision is to see the city of Flint transformed through the power of God’s love. We will be working with Forge Flint as part of home repair camp, which serves elderly and disabled home owners by offering free home repairs. Volunteers work together to strip and re-shingle roofs, replace rotten floors and leaky plumbing, repair damaged drywall, scrape and paint siding, and repair a variety of other household needs. In everything we do we seek to proclaim the good news of Jesus and join Him in His work of restoration and reconciliation.

FLINT, MICHIGAN | July 14-20 - PARTNER WITH FORGE FLINT | Forge Flint’s vision is to see the city of Flint transformed through the power of God’s love. ROSARITO, MEXICO | Summer Internship with Yugo - YUGO Ministries | YUGO ministries reaches out to Mexico while challenging, equipping, and mobilizing the local Mexican church, as well as the North American church to be involved in missions worldwide. One of our graduating students, Nathan Kotulski, will be doing an internship with YUGO this summer.

FERMATHE, HAITI | August 5-19 | God’s Littlest Angels Orphanage | GLA provides shelter and care for Haitian orphans and is also involved in international adoptions and providing school sponsorships for children unable to attend school due to lack of funds. Here’s what Mark says about his trip: “While there I will be helping take care of the children. The majority of the children that they care for have had significant developmental delays (sitting, crawling, walking, talking, etc.). And many have never even had their own toys, so they need to learn how to play I am also happy to learn that the orphanage encourages men to volunteer, so that the older children have someone to play soccer and basketball with them. Beyond these things, I’ll be doing anything else that needs to be done: painting, cleaning, maintenance, sorting and/or distributing supplies, to name a few. I am so excited to be going and to see what God will be doing there through me, be it showing His love to the children, or helping the orphanage in their overall mission in Haiti.”
